What is the Middle Earth SBG?
Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game (or MESBG) is a tabletop miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop. It is based on The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies directed by Peter Jackson, and the books that inspired them, written by J. R. R. Tolkien. In addition to gaming, The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game includes other common elements of the miniature wargaming hobby. These include the collecting, painting and conversion of miniature figures used in play, as well as the modelling of gaming terrain from scratch.
What do you need?
Any game will need some miniatures to represent your units, a copy of the rules, dice, tape measure and flat surface on which to put your battlefield.

What: Casual games between two or more players in our gaming hall, where we have setting specific terrain sets for use.

Events

What: All day tournament event, in which three games are played in a day. There is a competitive atmosphere and opponents will be of all ability levels. Some of these are GBHL events whenever possible and count towards their poinst system.

When: Saturday, once a month

What do you need: A fully painted army; a tray to move your army between games; all relevant official rules for your army and missions set out; dice, tape measure, and objective markers; a copy of your army list
